Anyone on Oracle Commerce 11.3? Was it a migration or a clean installation?

    Thank you!

Yes, we just upgraded to 11.3 and encountered only a few issues:
    1. Issue running the versioned schema migration scripts for 11.3.  This turned out to be a data issue which we worked around.
    2. We had an issue running the script to convert Endeca cartridges to JSON as 11.3 changed all to JSON.  This turned out to be an issue with some of our content in the cartridges
    3. We had an issues with the packed EAR.  To work around this we simply deployed an exploded EAR to WebLogic:
      1. Editor modal window in BCC would display a blank modal window
      2. CSC the UI was broken
      3. Web Services were not accessible
    4. If you create a category page in XM with a filter, and then export and try to import into another environment.  It appears to include match mode in the export when it should not.  We work around this by simply removing the match-mode after exporting.
Overall impression is very good of 11.3 with the focus very much on standardizing web services.

We are doing both. One fresh install, one upgrade from 11.1.

Recent gotcha on the upgrade path - make sure you have the September migration kit or you might get broken categories when you run the data migration scripts. Refer to bug 26643540, or Doc ID: 2299575.1

    If on JBoss:
    * You need to be on EAP7 no later than patch 6 at the moment (7.0.6). Otherwise you'll see classloader issues, and the underlying JBoss method causing the problem is static and can't be overridden.
    * You will need to modify the EAR post-assembly to get around a conflict with the commons-logging JAR that ships with JBoss 7 and the out-of-the-box commons-logging. Unfortunately, since the assembler modifies jboss-deployment-structure.xml, it will

The new JAX-RS REST services take some getting used to and have some undocumented rules, but in general they are a big step forward from the old REST MVC services. In general we have been pleased with 11.3 thus far.
